Team 1040 To Broadcast Championship Series Live

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC, in association with TEAM 1040 Sports Radio, are proud to announce today that both legs of the 2009 United Soccer Leagues First Division Championship Series will air live on TEAM 1040 - presented by Canterbury Beer and Energy Max Sport Drink.
The USL-1 Championship Series between the Whitecaps and Canadian rivals Montreal Impact will kick off this Saturday night, October 10, at 6:30 p.m. PDT at Swangard Stadium. The pre-match show will be on the air at 6 p.m. PDT. The second leg of the two-match, aggregate score series will take place on Saturday, October 17, at 11:30 a.m. PDT at Stade Saputo in Montreal, Quebec, with the pre-match show on the air at 11 a.m. PDT.
Peter Schaad - the voice of the Whitecaps - and former Canadian international and Whitecaps star Carl Valentine will call both matches of the two-leg championship series.
In addition to TEAM 1040, Fox Sports World Canada (Fox Soccer Channel in the United States) will also broadcast both matches of this year's final.
2010 Whitecaps season tickets are now on sale. Season tickets include all men's and women's team regular season and playoff home matches at Swangard Stadium, Nutrilite Canadian Championship home matches against Toronto FC and Montreal Impact, as well as priority listing for Vancouver MLS 2011 in BC Place.
