May 9, 2002 - The Chicago Rush has promoted WR/DB Marvin Taylor from the team's practice squad to its active roster and signed FB/LB Eddie Diaz to the practice squad, the team announced today.
Taylor (6-1, 185, Florida A&M) fills the roster spot that opened up when offensive specialist Joe Douglass was placed on Injured Reserve earlier this week. Taylor spent the last two seasons playing for the Tallahassee Thunder of the af2. He originally signed with the Rush November 12, 2001, but was released this spring after training camp. Three days later he was signed to Chicago's practice squad.
Diaz (6-0, 250, Villanova) will take Taylor's spot on the practice squad.
After traveling to Tampa this week to take on the Storm, the Rush returns home Saturday, May 18, to play host to the Georgia Force. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
