
Tarpons Sign Defensive Anchor

The Florida Tarpons are pleased to announce the signing of Larry Ford, a 6'4" 255 lbs defensive end hailing from West Virginia University.
Ford was known for his versatility with the Mountaineers has he played every position of the defensive line throughout his collegiate career.
"Larry will provide an explosive pass rush and put immediate pressure on the Quarterback" said Tarpons Head Coach Michael Taylor.
Coming from Georgetown, SC, Ford saw action in three years after he transferred from Coffeyville Community College in Kansas. At Coffeyville, he earned All-Region VI honors after recording 37 tackles, 6.5 of which were for a loss, and three sacks.
He also tallied two force fumbles and one fumble recovery. Ford was selected as an All-State performer at Germantown High School where he was coach by Barry Avant. He is the son of Larry and Geneva Ford.
