TULSA- In his 21 seasons as an AFL head coach, Tampa Bay Storm head coach Tim Marcum has gotten used to winning. He reached a serious milestone in Week 5 action when he tallied his 200th win, when the Storm defeated the Arizona Rattlers 62-61 in a heart-stopping battle on the turf.

This is the 15th season Marcum has been at the helm of the Storm. Overall, he holds a record of 200-95, a whopping 57 wins ahead of the second winningest all-time coach, Danny White. White holds a record of 143-82 in his 16 years as a head coach with the league. He is 81 wins ahead of the third winningest coach, Chicago's Mike Hohensee. Hohensee is the closest currently active coach.

Marcum's victories have earned him seven ArenaBowl championships, and he is the only coach in league history to lead three separate franchises to the ArenaBowl (Denver, Detroit and Tampa Bay). He has coached in 10 of the league's 22 championship games, and was also the first coach to reach the 100 and 150-victories milestones.

In 1987, Marcum led the Denver Dynamite to win the first ever Arena Football League championship. He repeated his performance in 1988 and 1989 with the Detroit Drive, earning three championships in the first three seasons. His five-year tenure with Detroit ended with three ArenaBowl championships and an overall record of 50-10.

Marcum's accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. He is a member of the AFL Hall of Fame as well as being awarded the Coach of the Year honors twice (1987 and 1998). He is the first coach in professional football history to be elected to any professional Hall of Fame while still an active coach. In addition, he was awarded the Founder's Award presented by the AFL in 2001, and an Outstanding Achievement Award by the American Football Coaches Association in 2004. He is also a member of the 2001 class of McMurry University's Athletic Hall of Fame, his alma mater.
