Tampa Bay Storm News Release
TAMPA BAY - With the end of training camp, the Tampa Bay Storm have announced the opening 24-man roster for this 25th anniversary season, announced vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.
"This is a process, it is a tough day for everyone, but every team goes through it," said Gooch. "We feel as if we put together the 24-man roster that is best for the Tampa Bay Storm."
The 24-man roster is comprised of 12 veterans, six of which return to the Storm from the previous season. Two players joined the team late last season and have made the squad for 2012. The remaining 10 players on the roster are in their first season in the Arena Football League.
Three players were placed on the reserve list, while one player was traded. Quarterback Kyle Havens was traded to the Arizona Rattlers, while offensive lineman Jamar Bass, defensive lineman Eugene Kinlaw and fullback/linebacker Terrence Royal were placed on the reserve list.
