Switchbacks Ready for Semifinals

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Wednesday, September 30, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are hitting the road for the 2015 USL Western Conference Semifinals.

The Switchbacks will be taking on the Oklahoma City Energy FC on Sunday, October 4th .

"We've been preparing for this for eight months and we feel very confident that we can get the job done," said Switchbacks FC Goalkeeper Devala Gorrick. "They're a good team, but so are we and we're looking forward to the battle."

This will be the third meeting between these two clubs. The two first met for the Switchbacks' home opener back on April 4th , where the Switchbacks fell to the Energy FC 1-2 after a final-minute goal. The

two clubs met again earlier this month in Oklahoma City, and the match ended in a 3-3 draw. Now the Switchbacks are looking for a different outcome, with another win in the 2015 USL Playoffs.

"This is a great accomplishment for this Club to be in the semifinals in the first season," said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "We are playing with confidence and looking to keep our momentum going from our victory over S2 last weekend. The players need to rise to the occasion in Oklahoma City and I have faith in them that they will."
