Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release
Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today that the club has re-signed Austin Dewing, pending USL Championship and USSF approval.
"Austin impressed me significantly on and off the pitch in the few weeks that I worked with him at the end of this 2019 season. For a first-year pro, he showed that he's a willing learner, an excellent athlete, and has some intangible attacking tools," said Switchbacks Head Coach, Alan Koch. "I'm looking forward to working with him in 2020, integrating him in to how we want to play as a team, and also pushing him to greater heights in his career."
Dewing appeared in 16 games totaling 816 minutes, despite joining the Switchbacks halfway through the 2019 season. The Colorado Springs native previously recorded 29 goals and 19 assists while playing for the Air Force Academy.
"I'm proud to be returning to play in my home city! I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity God has given me and to all the family, friends, and organizations that made it possible," said Austin Dewing.
