Louisiana Swashbucklers News Release
LAKE CHARLES - The Louisiana Swashbucklers have re-signed last years starting quarterback Freddie Harrison. Harrison accounted for 43 touchdowns last year, 16 where rushing. He led the Swashbucklers to a 10-4 regular season record. Harrison is a tall versatile quarterback that adds veteran stability to the offense.
Harrison will join a competitive QB battle with rookie Wes Cooper who has already made his presence known during mini-camp workouts. Both quarterbacks bring speed and accurate arms to the table. " The QB position is wide open. It is undecided who will start this season," Coach Lee explained.
The Louisiana Swashbucklers 2006 season kicks off on April 22nd against the Corpus Christi Hammerheads. Season tickets are on sale now.
