Swashbucklers Sign Fan Favorite Shawn Piper

LAKE CHARLES LA. - One of the great players from Swashbucklers history is coming home. Defensive back Shawn Piper is returning to help the team bring a championship back to Southwest Louisiana.

Piper played his college ball at Louisiana Tech as a wide receiver before joining the Swashbucklers in 2006. He was the 2007 league player of the year and a member of the '07 championship team. In 2007 piper lead the team with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

"I am extremely excited to return home to play for the Swashbucklers again" said Piper "The club has a history of winning and I look forward to contending for another championship with the Bucs this season."

The Swashbucklers season kicks off March 17, 2012 at the Lake Charles Civic Center! Season tickets are on sale starting at $10 per game. The team will offer new family friendly activities, and fans will witness the same exciting indoor football action that the Bucs have made their trademark.
