Louisiana Swashbucklers News Release
LAKE CHARLES - The Louisiana Swashbucklers are looking for a few talented young ladies who will lead the fans and cheer the Swashbucklers to victory throughout the 2008 season of intense football. Team president, Thom Hager said, "Last year I was so happy to see the talent we have right here in our own backyard. The spirit of our 2007 FirstMates Cheerleaders will be tough to beat."
The first order of business was to find a new director who can take the FirstMates to the next level of professionalism. Hager found Devin Kinney who has an extensive background in cheerleading and tumbling as she runs Sulphur Cheer Athletics.
Devin cheered with the FirstMates last season and is a graduate from McNeese State University. After accepting the position as Director of the FirstMates, Devin assembled her leadership team and set her sights on exceeding all expectations in 2008.
Tryouts are set for Saturday, November 17th and Sunday, November 18th at Sulphur Cheer Athletics across from the courthouse in Sulphur. For more information on tryouts, call Devin at 540-5418 or e-mail at se_coach1@yahoo.com.
