Louisiana Swashbucklers News Release
LAKE CHARLES, LA - Tryouts are set for both players and cheerleaders this Saturday.
The Louisiana Swashbucklers will hold their first of two open tryouts this Saturday December 15, 2007 at F.K. White middle school in Lake Charles. "As I've stated before, this is a time for the Swashbucklers to reload, not rebuild. We already have a great core of players. We simply need to improve in a few key areas", Lee remarked.
Tryouts are scheduled as follows:
8:30 AM registration
9:00 AM QB, WR, DB, RB, and LB
10:30 AM OL and DL
Kicking tryouts will be set at a later date.
Cleats and workout clothing is mandatory. A non-refundable entrée fee of $35 will be set aside for a player's fund for the 2008 season.
The FirstMates cheerleaders have scheduled their final tryout at Guzzy's Gym in Lake Charles this Saturday as well. New talent and new leadership will be announced soon at a press conference just after the first of the year.
