Mississippi Surge News Release
Hustle, Bustle: The Mississippi Surge will be doing a lot of hustling and bustling during the holiday week between Christmas and New Years with four games. The Surge will host the in-state rival Mississippi RiverKings on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. Then it will be road games at Huntsville on Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Pensacola on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Surge will play its fourth game in five days hosting the Louisiana IceGators on Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
Reptile Week: The Surge battled reptiles three times last week, losing to the Columbus Cottonmouths 5-2, then split a pair of one goal games with the Louisiana IceGators, winning 2-1 at home on Saturday night, and losing 4-3 on the road Sunday afternoon.
Six Pack: Tommy Lange scored two goals Sunday, stretching his point scoring streak to six games. He has four goals and five assists for nine points in that stretch. He has points in nine of the last 10 games with six goals and eight assists for 14 points over that span.
Young Gun: Corey Tamblyn has six goals and 10 assists for 16 points and is tied for fourth place in rookie scoring in the Southern Professional Hockey League.
