Surge to Celebrate 5th Anniversary

The Mississippi Surge has decided to celebrate the 2013-2014 season with an anniversary logo in recognition of their fifth year in existence. The Surge began play in the Southern Professional Hockey League during the 2009-2010 season.
"Having this new logo to represent the brand of hockey in Mississippi will be very appreciated by our fans," said team owner Tim Kerr. "We have more exciting things to come this season and it starts with building a tradition."
