Mississippi Surge News Release
The Mississippi Surge has official signed their leading scorer from a year ago. Center Adam Stuart marks the fourth player from last season to re-join the team for another run.
The Calgary, ALB native scored 14 goals and recorded 23 assists for a total of 37 points last season for the Surge. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 175 pounds, Stuart is excited to have gotten the call from Head Coach Jeff Bes.
"After expressing my dedication and commitment to this team Coach gave me the nod," said Stuart. "South Mississippi has a great city in Biloxi, awesome fans and let's don't forget about the beaches."
The upcoming season will make three (3) consecutive years that Stuart has played with the Surge. "With Adam being the leader scoring last year, we definitely could use his talents on the offensive end which we lacked in the later part of the season," said Coach Bes. "He's a great asset on the ice and has committed to doing more in the community and working harder this year."
