Surge Host Stanley Cup Watch Parties

As the Los Angeles Kings and New Jersey Devils battle for the Stanley Cup, Mississippi Surge fans can gather from Bay St. Louis, to Ocean Springs, and points in between, to watch the battle for hockey's ultimate prize.

The Surge has announced a series of seven watch parties along the Gulf Coast, giving hockey fans the chance to get together to view all the games in the Stanley Cup final.

In addition to the Stanley Cup watch parties starting Wednesday night, team owner Tim Kerr will hold a town hall meeting on Thursday night at 6:30 in meeting room D of the Mississippi Coast Convention Center (attached to the Coliseum).

The town hall meeting takes place the night after game one of the Stanley Cup final. The schedule for the Stanley Cup watch parties:

Game 1: Wed. May 30--Toarmina's, 229 Klondyke Road, Long Beach;

Game 2: Sat. June 2--Sloppy Dogs, 203 North Second Street, Bay St. Louis;

Game 3 Mon. June 4--Hooters Biloxi Beach, 1906 Beach Blvd., Biloxi;

Game 4 Wed. June 6--Beef O'Brady's, 3680 Sangani Blvd. D'Iberville;

Game 5 Sat. June 9--Bob's Burger Factory; 5 Pass Road, Gulfport;*

Game 6 Mon. June 11--Mugshots, 2650 Beach Blvd., Biloxi*

Game 7 Wed. June 13--Kwitzky's Dug Out., 1025 Government, Ocean Springs*

*If necessary. All games begin at 7 p.m. Central time.

The Surge team store is also holding a major merchandise sale right now. The store is open for business Monday through Friday at the Coast Coliseum from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
