14 SunFire All-Stars will participate in the Lady Liberty Gold and Silver Classic, the women's exhibition football game set to take place at the NFL Experience on January 19th. San Diego will join, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Arizona, Sacramento and Hawaii in this presentation of Women's Football. http://www.gridirongirls.com

On Saturday, November 23, in honor of its 10th Anniversary, the Pacific Women's Sports Foundation will honor enterprising Sports Women. Included will be SunFire Owner, Donna Fox who will be presented with the PWSF President's Award. The invite only luncheon will be held at the Viejas Casino & Turf Club.
San Diego, CA â November 22, 2002 - They've put San Diego on the women's football map, they started the SSWFFL, the first women's flag football league in San Diego history, they've volunteered hundreds of hours conducting girls football clinics all over San Diego, for the second straight year they were asked to host the San Diego Chargers NFL Gatorade Punt, Pass and Kick championship, they've formed alliances with Girls Scouts and the Pacific Women's Sports Foundation for National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Their owner is on the Women's Pro teams advisory board for the Women's Sports Foundation, they're the only women's football team ever to be profiled in a highlight and feature show, their non-profit was chosen to host a Women's Football Exhibition called The Lady Liberty Classic, at the upcoming Super Bowl, and they've just completed an undefeated season of Women's Football!! Wow!
