The SunFire put San Diego on the women's football map. They started the SSWFFL, the first women's flag football league in San Diego history. The women have volunteered hundreds of hours conducting girl's football clinics all over San Diego. For the second straight year they were asked to host the San Diego Chargers NFL Gatorade Punt, Pass and Kick championship. They've formed alliances with Girls Scouts and the Pacific Women's Sports Foundation for National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Owner, Donna Fox is on the Women's Pro team's advisory board for the Women's Sports Foundation. The SunFire is the only women's football team ever to be profiled in a highlight and feature show. Their nonprofit was chosen to host a Women's Football Exhibition called The Lady Liberty Classic, at the upcoming NFL Experience held during Super Bowl Week. To top it all off, San Diego's Super Women have just completed an undefeated season of Women's Football!!
