
Sundogs' Pietroniro to Coach Southern Conference All-Stars

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League topped the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees Sunday night by an 8-1 mark. In doing so, the second-year club has secured the Southern Conference's best winning percentage (.750) through Dec. 23 and as a result will have Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro represent the Sundogs as Head Coach of the Southern Conference in the 2008 CHL All-Star Game on Wednesday, Jan. 16. in Broomfield, Colo.
The second-year coach has guided his club to a 19-6-1 record on the season. The Sundogs have won five-straight overall and six-straight at home. Arizona has won 11 of its last 13 and has been nearly unbeatable at Tim's Toyota Center this season with a 10-1-0 mark.
Rocky Mountain's Tracy Egeland has already secured the Northern Conference coaching spot thanks to the Rage's 18-3-2 record.
The game will be held at the Broomfield Event Center, home of the Rocky Mountain Rage. Rosters for the game will be announced beginning on Thursday, Dec. 27th.
