Sundogs Lose One of Their Own, Ed Lepordo

Prescott Valley, AZ - It is with a heavy heart that the Arizona Sundogs inform their fans of the passing of one of their great fans, true comrade, investor and spirit of the organization, Ed Lepordo.
Lepordo served as the Sundogs' Interim President from January thru July 2011. He took great pride in providing quality merchandising options for the fans and made that his top priority since day one. He was hands on in many facets of the day to day operations of the Sundogs and his absence will be a hard one to overcome.
Sundogs majority owner, Brad Fain said "This is truly a loss for the organization and the community. His passing comes as a shock to all of us and we are still trying to come to grips with the loss. Our hearts and prayers are with his wife, Donna and their family. Ed will be greatly missed throughout the organization; I will personally miss his support, leadership and friendship in our efforts to rebuild the team and the organization. He was truly a one-of-a-kind friend and will be greatly missed."
Lepordo and his wife, Donna, have called Prescott Arizona their home for the past 19 years. The Boston, Massachusetts, native was a graduate of California State University Fullerton, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business after competing in rodeos in Europe and North America. Lepordo also served as Vice President of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce for one year before being named President for two years. He also owned and operated McWhite's North American Van Lines.
Later this year, Lepordo was set to be inducted into the European Rodeo Association's Hall of Fame for his contributions for his work and promotion of the sport.
