Arizona Sundogs News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - The ice may be long gone at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, AZ, but the Arizona Sundogs are busy as ever, reaching out into the community in a big way.
General Manager of Arizona Sundogs Hockey, Chris Presson, says, "Community involvement is a hallmark of our organization. The Sundogs have always belonged to this community. It is our responsibility to be anywhere and everywhere we can, shaking hands, reaching out, integrating our professional hockey players into Yavapai County."
Presson and the Arizona Sundogs practice what they preach. While there are no pucks flying through the air right now at Tim's Toyota Center, Sundog players, representatives, and lovable mascot Burnie, are out every week in the community. Presson remarked, "We do our best to accommodate as many community requests for Sundog presence as we can. He went on to say, "In a year's time, 'the Dogs' are let out to dozens of events and activities, covering a variety of interests in our region."
The list of Sundog appearances in the last couple of months is impressive to say the least. They have been present at Autism Speaks, the Special Olympics, Inline Hockey tournaments, the Heritage Park Zoo, Habitat for Humanity ceremonies, Team Up To Clean Up, Affinity RV's Expo, the YCCA Home & Garden Show, Woofstock, Franklin Phonetic School's day camp, Boy Scouts Camp, American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, and Prescott's Territorial Days.
Presson is excited about the positive impact the Sundogs have brought to the Quad-Cities. "I can tell you over the last several years, the Sundogs have been present at hundreds of community events. We are dedicated, we are excited, and we truly belong to the people of Northern Arizona. We believe we are giving back what the community expects from us on a daily basis."
The Arizona Sundogs are the Central Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. The team will begin its seventh season in October 2012. The Team Store is now open at 2982 North Park Avenue, Suite G, in Prescott Valley, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Season ticket, mini-plan, and single-game ticket information is now available by calling (928) 759-6600 or visiting arizonasundogs.com.
