Strykers Will Have First "Bark in the Park" this Weekend

The Strykers ended their opening series against the Victoria Generals tonight at Strykers Stadium. The Generals would win by a score of 8-4. The Strykers will now set their sights on the defending TCL Champion East Texas Pump Jacks who will be here for two games starting this evening at 7:05

The offense was led by third baseman Zach LeJeune who had two RBIs. Conner Fikes made his first start of the year at shortstop and collected two hits. The Strykers would also get one hit each from Garrett Lozano, Brian Smith, Kevin Santana and Taylor Taska.

Lamar University product, Will Hibbs started on the mound. He pitched five innings and recorded strikeouts. Jake Cosart, who is from League City, Texas would come into the game for two innings and record two strikeouts. Spring native, Chris Thompson would come in to pitch the final two innings to finish the ballgame.

The Strykers will finish off this opening homestand by hosting the East Texas PumpJacks at 7:05 both this evening Sunday evening. The Saturday game will be a "Saturday Drive". Fans bringing any non perishable food item to be donated to Interfaith will receive half off GA tickets. Sundays game will be a "Memorable Sunday" which features 10 minute window to play catch on certain parts of the field after the game(weather permitting). The Game will also be the first of two "Bark In The Park where fans can register their dogs via http://www.strykersdogday.com/ and come out to the game.
