Strykers Fall to Pump Jacks; Will Host Cane Cutters this Weekend

Will be hosting two games this weekend against the Cane Cutters. 7:05 scheduled starts Saturday and Sunday.

The Woodlands Strykers finished their two game series against the East Texas Pump Jacks tonight at Strykers Stadium. Both teams continued to play a close game as they have virtually everytime these teams have played eachother. The Pump Jacks pulled away for a 10-7 win late in the game.

Alexis Garza made another start on the mound. He pitched five innings, giving up two earned runs and four hits. He struck out two batters as well. Caulin Cragle came in for two innings of work and struck out two batters. Nolan Riggs then pitched 1.2 innings before Nolan Holland pitched to one batter in the top of the ninth inning.

The Strykers got eight hits on the night. The teams scored five runs in the bottom of the second inning off some clutch hitting by the team. Dirk Masters, Robert Heep and Bobby Schuman all had singles in the inning, Dalton Perry had a double. Conner Kalisky would hit a double in the fourth inning and then come home to score later in the inning. Kevin Santan would score the final run for the Strykers when he would draw a walk in the fifth inning and come home a a flyout by Heep.

The Strykers will now close out the weekend by hosting the Acadiana Cane Cutters this weekend (Saturday July 6 and 7th). Both games against the Cane Cutters are scheduled for 7:05. Saturday's game is a Saturday Drive with Half Off GA Tickets with the donation of a non perishable food item to be donated to Interfaith of The Woodlands. The Sunday game is a Memorable Sunday with a chance to play catch on the field postgame(weather permitting).
