Striker Evolves: Venom Mascot Receives Update

Amarillo Venom News Release

The Amarillo Venom is proud to announce that Striker, the mascot and one of the most prominent ambassadors of the organization, will reveal a new look just in time for the 2016 season.

Striker will reflect the Amarillo Venom logo more closely in his new look, shedding away his familiar green skin for golden features. The update is sponsored by ER Now Emergency Medical Care Center.

According to the ER Now website, the locally owned 24/7 emergency room is a Texas state licensed Free Standing Emergency Room, which provides an identical scope of emergency care that a hospital Emergency Room does.

Placed at Interstate 40 and Coulter Street, ER Now has a CAT Scan, X-ray, Ultrasound, Laboratory, EKG, and a pharmacy available on site. ER Now also treats adults and children with any medical complaints including chest and abdominal pain, trauma, fever, fractures and other ailments.

ER Now is currently building a new location at Hillside and Coulter, which is slated to open in mid-2016.

Ever since his debut in the 2011 season, Striker has become one of the most beloved mascots in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle. He has appeared in countless events and community functions, embodying the strong connection between the Venom and the best fans in Champions Indoor Football.

The AMARILLO VENOM is a proud member of Champions Indoor Football. For more information and tickets, please contact the Venom office at (806) 350-7277.
