Amarillo Venom News Release
While preparing for the upcoming 2016 season, Head Coach Julian Reese and the Amarillo Venom are devoting time and energy to give CityChurch Outreach Ministry, located at 205 South Polk Street, a helping hand.
According to Reese, the good work consisted of moving around furniture, painting walls and various spring cleaning activities.
This is the first of many community projects that the Venom will be an active part of during the 2016 campaign.
Headed up by Don E. Lane and his family, the CityChurch Outreach Ministry began as a weekly mealtime and Bible club in October 1996. CityChurch has grown to accommodate to the emotional and physical needs of more than 300 underprivileged young people weekly.
In its mission statement, CityChurch is "committed to the principle that God has a great purpose for every child; regardless of their geographical location, financial status, religious affiliation, race or culture."
"We are committed to transforming the disadvantaged neighborhoods of our city by making a long term commitment to the children and showing them a pathway to a life of success," said CityChurch's mission statement.
The AMARILLO VENOM is a proud member of Champions Indoor Football. For more information and tickets, please contact the Venom office at (806) 350-7277.
