TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm is pleased to announce that defensive lineman Padric Scott has signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

"Padric is a smart player who can be a difference maker on the defensive end," said Storm vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch. "We are happy to see him earn this opportunity in the CFL."

Scott (6-foot-1, 295 lbs., Florida A&M) started in 2-of-4 games for the Storm this season. He has played on multiple positions along the defensive line and has made an impact when given the opportunity. Scott's impact can be seen on goal line stands and certain offensive packages. He began his AFL career with the Philadelphia Soul in 2014 and has recorded 22.0 tackles, 5.0 sacks, a forced fumble, a pass breakup and a blocked kick.

The two-year veteran began his professional career in 2013 when he signed with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League as an undrafted rookie free agent.

The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm is entering its 25th season in Tampa Bay.
