New Orleans VooDoo News Release

NEW ORLEANS "" The New Orleans VooDoo (1-5) drop their fifth straight as they fall to the Tampa Bay Storm (5-2) 63-32 in front of a crowd of 10,114 in the Tampa Bay Times Forum Saturday Night.

Tampa Bay came out of the gate quickly with McPherson's one yard run putting the first score on the board. New Orleans countered with a 9 yard touchdown pass to Smith, but Cismesia missed the extra point giving the Tampa the lead which they held throughout the entire game.

The second quarter was not much different than the first, in that, the Storm outscored the VooDoo 21 to 7. However, New Orleans put points on the board at the end of the half and on Stull's one yard run.

The VooDoo were looking for a momentum changer as they would come out of the half with the possession. However, the VooDoo threw a pick on their first possession of the half which led to Tampa continuing their lead over the VooDoo 49-32.

The fourth quarter looked promising for the VooDoo. This quarter was the most productive for the VooDoo, which was comprised of touchdowns by Smith, Lee and another sneak by Stull.

The VooDoo look for their first win on the road next Saturday, May 11 against the Iowa Barnestomers.
