Tampa Bay Storm News Release
TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm has retained offensive lineman Mario Henderson, announced Storm vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.
"Mario spent the entire 2014 season with the Storm," said Gooch. "With him, we know we are getting a durable piece for our offensive line. He started in every game last season and has developed into one of the top offensive lineman in the League."
Henderson (6-foot-7, 360 lbs., Florida State) returns for his second season with the Storm. The Lehigh Acres, FL native started in all 18 games as a rookie in 2014. Henderson began his professional career when he was selected by the Oakland Raiders (NFL) in the third round (91st pick) of the National Football League Entry Draft. He spent four seasons with the Raiders before moving on to the San Diego Chargers.
Prior to turning pro, Henderson played collegiately at Florida State University. He started in 16-of-49 games for the Seminoles.
