Tampa Bay Storm Participates at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital Annual Halloween Parade

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm took to the community this afternoon when it participated in the St. Joseph's Children's Hospital Annual Halloween Parade.
"I think this was a great opportunity for the children to see all of the community come together for them," said Dana Lowe, an executive assistant at St. Joseph's Hospital. "You can see the smiles on all of the children's faces as they interact with the team."
A special Halloween parade is nothing new for St. Joseph's but this year it added a surprise, a football-themed table. Hidden as the last stop on the parade, the children were greeted by Storm players that included wide receiver Julius Gregory and mac linebacker Dexter Jackson.
"It's such a blessing to come out here today," said Gregory. "Even if it's just for an hour, we have the ability to put a smile on some faces. I couldn't ask for a better experience."
The day provided a break for not only the children, but also their parents.
"You all should be commended for what you do," said one parent. "Thank you for coming out here and showing our kids a good time."
The day saw the players interacting with the patients and giving out toys and candy to all.
"This was a great experience," said Jackson. "We had fun with these kids, giving out mini-footballs, whistles and tons of other toys. Seeing them smile was worth it."
The team finished the day off with a brief photo and autograph session.
"We can't wait to come back next year," said Storm kicker Craig Peterson. "These children are the real heroes."
