Storm Adds To Receiving Corps

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm is pleased to announce the acquisition of wide receiver Tyrece Gaines announced vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch. The team placed wide receiver Justin Hilton on other league exempt and offensive lineman Maurice Robinson on injured reserve.

"Tyrece will be the perfect complement to our receiving corps," said Gooch. "He is a physical receiver and will benefit our offense as we head into the playoffs."

Gaines (6-foot-3, 220 lbs., Oregon) spent the past three seasons with the Ducks. Before transferring to Oregon he attended Butler Community College (KS). The Tallahassee, FL native had 28 receptions for 490 yards (17.5 avg.), including a team-high nine touchdowns in 2008 for the Grizzlies. He would help lead his team to the 2008 Junior College National Championship.

Storm wide receiver Justin Hilton was placed on other league exempt after having signed with the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League. In two games played for the Storm he hauled in five receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

Storm offensive lineman Maurice Robinson was placed on injured reserve.
