Pittsburgh Power News Release
PITTSBURGH, PA - Pittsburgh Power wide receivers Julian Talley (6'1"/190/UMass) and Kenny Stafford (6'2"/205/Toledo) have moved to the NFL training camp rosters of the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins, respectively.
This is Talley's second stint with the Giants, having first signed as an undrafted free agent in May, 2012. Talley is reunited once again with former college teammate, Victor Cruz.
Talley joined the Power in May and appeared in 10 games. His 74 catches for 821 yards and 17 touchdowns ranked him second on the team in all 3 categories. Julian's 15 receptions against New Orleans on June 29 was a team season-high, and on July 6 at Cleveland, he tied a Power franchise record with 5 touchdown receptions in a game.
Stafford appeared in just one game for the Power this season, before signing with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes. Kenny grabbed 6 catches for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Power's May 25 home win over Cleveland.
Stafford's Miami signing marks his second appearance in an NFL training camp. He attended camp with the Atlanta Falcons in 2012.
Talley and Stafford both remain under Pittsburgh Power AFL contractual control and are listed as "Other League Exempt" by the League. The Power retain their rights should they not make an NFL final roster.
