TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired defensive lineman Julius Forte announced Storm Vice President of Football Operations Jeff Gooch.
"Julius was with the team at the beginning of the season," said Gooch. "He understands the system and we believe he will be able to come in and contribute on the defensive side of the ball."
Forte (6-foot-2, 255 lbs., South Florida) re-joins the team after playing in the first two games of the 2015 season. The Boca Ciega H.S. (St. Petersburg, FL) product joined the team towards the end of the 2014 season, appearing in the final two games of the season. For his career, Forte has played in four games with the Storm, recording three tackles and recovering an onside kick.
The former South Florida standout played in 43 games for the Bulls, earning several team awards over the course of his four year collegiate career.
The team placed defensive lineman Ryne Giddins on injured reserve.
