
Stone Crabs Partner with Suncoast Humane Society for "Furry Food Drive"

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs are partnering with the Suncoast Humane Society to host the first-ever "Furry Food Drive" before the Stone Crabs game on Friday, September 4, at Charlotte Sports Park.
Fans are encouraged to bring any brand of unopened dog or cat food to the game in exchange for a free Stone Crabs hat. The participant with the largest donation of food (by weight) will win a complimentary Suite Night from the Stone Crabs for the final 2009 regular season home game on Sunday, September 6.
Special $10 tickets for the game with a portion of the proceeds directly benefiting the Suncoast Humane Society can be purchased by calling 941-474-7884 or visiting the Suncoast Humane Society office at:

The Pet Pantry Program was developed by Suncoast Humane Society with the local Meals on Wheels, Suncoast Worship Center and Englewood Bible Church to offer pet food assistance to their food pantries so that pet owners will not be forced to surrender their animals or put their health at risk due to lack of, or poor nourishment.
