Miami Sting News Release
The Miami Sting announce the signing of RB Conredge Collins. If the name sounds familiar it should. Collins was a local standout and earned first team all Florida 3A while at Monsignor Edward Pace High School before attending University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt Collins was a three year starter and widely acclaimed as one of the best fullbacks in the country.
Conredge who is the son is the son of former Patriots and Dolphins Pro Bowl RB Tony Collins and currently lives in Miami, joins an impressive roster. Head Coach Keith Evans stated "I am looking forward to the exceptional talent competing in training camp for roster spots. From the running backs we have veterans like Chris Pointdexter and former Pitt Panther/Dade County local Conredge Collins. The receiver battle will be a show stopper with vets like Solomon Jones, Phil Goodman and Explosive young D-1 Talented receivers Like Former Texas Longhorn Robert Timmons and Idaho Vandal Jon Roberson. The best players will start and play. I'm very excited about camp. There will be many tough decisions to make in February. You have to want to compete to become the best. We're also going to have a local tryout January 6th to look for some local talent that fell through the cracks. I expect the best local talent to tryout and represent as well."
The Miami Sting kickoff their inaugural season at 7:05 PM Friday March 1, 2013 at the BankUnited Center University against Texas. For more information on the Miami Sting visit www.stingfootball.com
