SAGINAW, MI -- The Saginaw Sting would like to announce the release of the 2013 Schedule and Ticket Information. There will be 5 exciting regular season home games this year, along with 5 away dates. Season tickets go on sale TODAY, Friday, November 30th and start at just $40! Single game tickets will go on sale January 2, 2013, and will range from $10-$25 per game. If you are a season ticket holder from last season, you can stop on by to secure your seats from last season or call The Dow Box Office 989-759-1330. The defending CIFL Champions will open their season at home on Friday, February 8th, against the Marion Blue Racers at 7:30pm. Opening night for the Sting will feature a Ring Ceremony and a Banner drop commemorating the Undefeated 2012 Championship. This "Night of Champions" will allow the Sting to keep to its mission of community involvement when we recognize all previous High School athletes that have won State Championships over the past year.
There are other eventful nights to follow as the season progresses; including a special Monday Night Football game; one of two scheduled for the CIFL this year. It will take place against the Kane County Dawgs, March 18th at 7pm. In week 7 a rematch of last year's championship game, the Sting will travel to Dayton to take on the renamed Sharks at O'Hara Arena on Sunday March 24 at 4:00pm. The regular season will conclude on Saturday April 27th at home against the Detroit Thunder. After this final game the Sting will look to be one of 6 teams to make the playoffs (an increase from only 4 playoff teams in previous years). The CIFL Championship will take place on Saturday May 18, 2013.
