April 26, 2012 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Saginaw Sting News Release

Saginaw, MI -- The Saginaw Sting continue to have a strong hold on maintaining their undefeated season, as they reach the midpoint of 2012. A 42-20 victory over the Port Huron Patriots last Friday night at The Dow Event Center was the most recent victory. With the many talents the Sting has to offer, CJ Tarver once again received acknowledgment from his coaches as the Sting player of the game. CJ made his presence known with a key interception, two receiving touchdowns and even a passing touchdown that put the Sting on top 28-7 at the half. The win clinches a playoff spot for the Sting, who will most likely host a first-round playoff game on Saturday June 2nd. With such a rivalry building between the Patriots and the Sting and the chance they may meet again in the playoffs the last half of the season looks to give fans something to look forward to.

Tomorrow, April 27th, the Sting will host the Chicago Pythons at The Dow Event Center. To honor members of the military, fire, police, medical, academic, and scout organizations the Sting have themed the night as "Local Heroes Night." There will be a $6 admission with valid ID along with the open tailgate starting at 6pm and kickoff at 7:30pm. Also, in appreciation to United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, volunteers from the area will be accepting donations on behalf of the Travis Mills Family Fund while "Passing the Helmet." The Saginaw Sting is proud to show their continuous support for the hard work and dedication made by our many heroes.
