
Sting activate Perkins, place Lewis on injured list

The Charlotte Sting activated guard Jia Perkins and placed guard Tynesha Lewis on the Injured List with plantar fasciitis in both feet, it was announced today by Charlotte Sting General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey.
Perkins has appeared in six games for the Sting in 2005, averaging 3.7 points while shooting .556 (10-18) from the field. In four minutes off the bench at San Antonio on June 2, Perkins tallied a season-high six points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Lewis has appeared in 10 games this season, averaging 4.7 points and 2.0 rebounds. She tallied a season-high 11 points in 23 minutes at Minnesota on
June 4.
The Sting host the New York Liberty today at 6 p.m. at the Charlotte Coliseum.
