
Stefan Named Easton Defenseman Of The Year

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Friday announced that Stuart Stefan of the Huntsville Havoc has been selected as the Easton Defenseman of the Year in a vote of league coaches, general managers and media representatives.
Louisiana's Kirk Byczynski finished second in the balloting.
Stefan, who moved from forward to defense this season, led all SPHL defensemen with 43 points and 18 goals, and was second among blue-liners with a +21 rating and three game-winning goals. Stefan played four seasons for Castleton (VT) State College, where he finished his collegiate career as the school's all-time leading scorer and was named to the All-ECAC East First Team his senior season.
