
SteelHounds Release Training Camp Schedule

Youngstown SteelHounds News Release
YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds of the Central Hockey League are proud to embark on their third training camp on Monday, October 8th at the Chevrolet Centre. This year's camp will feature two Blue-White games as well as two exhibition match-ups against ECHL competition.
This Year's Camp Features:
Blue vs. White TWICE!
The SteelHounds training camp roster will participate in two Blue-White Scrimmages during the week of camp. The first will be Tuesday, October 9th at 7pm with the second scrimmage scheduled for Thursday, October 11th at 7pm. All scrimmages are open to the public.
Double Dipping with the ECHL
For the first time in franchise history the Youngstown SteelHounds will be playing two exhibition games in preparation for the regular season. Both games will be against ECHL opponents with the first game happening Wednesday, October 10th when the Hounds visit the Johnstown Chiefs at 7:05pm. The second exhibition game will happen on Friday, October 12th when the Hounds host the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:05pm. Tickets for this game are available for $5 by calling the Hounds (330) 747-PUCK.
First Meet & Greet Scheduled for Saturday, October 13th at 7:30
There will be a Meet & Greet for the general public on Saturday, October 13th at the Downtown Draught House located at 219 West Federal Street in Youngstown. The Meet & Greet is provided by the SteelHounds Booster Club and will be open to the public starting at 7:30pm.
Wanted by a Higher Authority
One of Head Coach Kevin Kaminski's goals for this off-season was to add more depth to the roster. Seven SteelHounds received tryouts with AHL camps, the most of any Central Hockey League Franchise.

Hounds Continue Affiliation with Blue Jackets
The SteelHounds will once again serve as the Blue Jackets CHL affiliate and will have the opportunity to have Columbus and Syracuse contracted players assigned to Youngstown. This will mark the second year for the partnership between two of Ohio's premier hockey franchises. Over the past two seasons six SteelHounds have participated in Crunch camp with three players receiving call-ups.

The Hounds regular season home opener is scheduled for Friday, November 23rd when they host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:05pm.
