Youngstown SteelHounds News Release

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown SteelHounds Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kaminski announced today that the team has re-signed goaltender Brad Roberts for the 2007-08 season. Per team policy the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Roberts, 25, returns to the Hounds for his sophomore campaign after finishing third in wins in the CHL with a 23-12-4 record in 41 games. The graduate of West Point was the backbone between the pipes for the Hounds leading them to their first ever playoff appearance. Along with his impressive record he recorded a 2.70 goals against average and a .895 save percentage including two shutouts. This effort earned the native of Cassville, New York recognition as the team's "Rookie of the Year."

Kaminski is expecting another big year from his young goaltender saying, "Brad really turned on the jets in the second half of the season as he gained more experience at the pro level. If he comes into this year with the confidence and poise that he showed at the end of the season he can become one of the dominant goaltenders in our league."

The Hounds will host the ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones in an exhibition match-up on Friday, October 12th at 7:05pm with tickets on sale now for just $5. The Hounds regular season home opener is scheduled for Friday, November 23rd when they host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:05pm. SteelHounds season tickets are on sale now for as little as $42 per month and group packages are available for any home game during the season. Call the Hounds ticket department today at (330) 747-PUCK for more information.
