Gary Steelheads News Release
GARY, Indiana (December 18, 2006) "" The Gary Steelheads announced today that the team will launch a new web site, scheduled for full implementation in mid-January, 2007. The web site will serve as a resource for the latest team information, as well as a gateway to team broadcasts, interviews and the United States Basketball League.
The Steelheads' site is being developed by Infinity Pro Sports, an Internet company specializing in the development of web sites and other related services for sports teams and sports leagues. The web site developer already has an established relationship with the Steelheads, having served as a sponsor for the 2004-2005 CBA All Star Game played in Gary.
"The Internet has quickly become an essential tool in business communications," said Steelheads' team President Jewell Harris, Jr. "Our team's web site is central to our new marketing initiatives."
Infinity Pro Sports, a division of UK Advertising, has experienced tremendous growth over the past two years. They have developed software solutions to automate the process of news and statistical updates, while creating an easy interface displaying current news and information to the end user. The company recently added the American Hockey League to its client list.
The Gary Steelheads recently joined the United States Basketball League and will begin USBL play in early April. The league draft is tentatively scheduled for April 3rd. Last season, the Steelheads logged their most successful season in franchise history, culminating in a trip to the CBA Finals.
