Gary, IN: The Gary Steelheads 2004-2005 campaign came to an end tonight, the same way it started, with a win. The Steelheads defeated the Yakima Sun Kings 102-98 and captured 5.5 quarter points in the process. Leading the way for the Steelheads was David Graves, "The InifinityProSports.com Player of the Game" who had 30 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. Jemeil Rich had his 26th double double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds. "The Rook" Renaldo Major had 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Lonnie Jones chipped in with 21 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Bakari Hendrix had 27 points for the Sun Kings in the loss.
"This has been a trying season with all that we have gone through as an organization," said Head Coach Dale Osbourne. "We have been through a lot as an organization but we always have been able to fight through and give the best performance possible. That's what we did tonight, not just as a team on the floor but as an organization as a whole. I am proud to be the head coach of the Steelheads an to work for a great organization. The are first class all the way."
