Boise, Idaho - Four skaters recorded multiple points and Blake Forsyth tallied the game-winning goal late in the second period, as the Steelheads bested the Phoenix RoadRunners, 4-2, in front of 3,449 fans on Wednesday night at Qwest Arena.

The Steelheads (30-18-7) are now 5-0-0 on the season against the RoadRunners (18-32-3), as they earn their 13th victory on home ice and their 30th win overall. The victory is also their 15th this year in division play.

Steelheads' captain D'Arcy McConvey netted the only goal in the opening period, receiving a David Bararuk feed in the slot, and one-timing the puck past RoadRunners' goaltender Mike Mole (27 saves) for his 25th goal. The visitors turned over the puck in their own zone, as Bararuk intercepted a pass at the RoadRunners' goal line and slipped a pass onto McConvey's stick. The goal came at 14:27.

Shots in the first period were 14-6 in favor of the RoadRunners.

The RoadRunners tied the game at 6:31 of the second period, burying a five-on-three power play goal, making the score 1-1. Defenseman Brad Woods fired a shot from just outside the left circles, beating Steve Silverthorn (24 saves) just inside the near post for his fourth of the season. Dave Cousineau and Ben Knopp drew the helpers on the RoadRunners first man advantage goal in the last four games.

Defenseman Jarad Bourassa blasted a shot through traffic just after a Steelheads' power play had expired to give the home team a 2-1 advantage. The shot appeared to deflect off someone in front, but it was credited to Bourassa, his 10th of the season. Defenseman Jeremy Mylymok and winger Jeremy Yablonski set up the goal at 9:50 of the stanza.

Shawn Snider deadlocked the game just 32 seconds later, snapping the puck just under the crossbar as he raced into the Steelheads zone and cut to the bottom of the right circles. Adam Kostichka and Dusty Demianiuk got the assists.

Forsyth put the Steelheads back in front for the third time in the contest, rifling home his second of the campaign for a power play goal at 16:16 of the second stanza. Paul Caponigri and Bararuk chipped in the helpers on Forsyth's first ECHL game-winner.

McConvey's second of the evening, and 26th of the year, came late in regulation and gave the Steelheads some breathing room at 4-2. Caponigri slipped the puck to McConvey, who had found space behind the RoadRunners' defense, and he blasted a wrist shot past Mole. Bourassa also got an assist.

The Steelheads held the RoadRunners to just 12 shots over the final two periods, out-shooting them 30-26 for the match. Silverthorn is now tied for the team lead with 15 wins, while Mole dropped his ECHL-high 24th decision.

The Steelheads continue their three-game series versus the RoadRunners on Friday, March 3. The puck drops at 7:10 p.m. MST. All the action can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1350 AM, "The Ticket," beginning approximately 20 minutes before the drop of the puck.
