Steelheads Announce Schedule Change: Fan Appreciation Night to Feature Gary Exhibition

GARY, Indiana (June 15, 2007) - Due to unresolvable travel issues, the Long Island Prime Time will not provide the scheduled opposition for the Gary Steelheads on Fan Appreciation Night. In place of the scheduled game, the Steelheads will host a special exhibition as the team prepares for the upcoming USBL Festival Playoffs.
Special entertainment and fan rewards have been planned for the evening. All Fan Appreciation Night activities will take place as scheduled, including entertainment and fan rewards. After the game, the team will host a special autograph session with the players and coaches.
Basketball fans should find tonight's game to be of considerable interest, as players will battle for positions on the Steelheads' playoff roster. Lead guard Eddy Barlow returns to the team this evening, following the fulfillment of an overseas contract.
A broadcast of Friday night's game will air through the SportsJuice web site (www.sportsjuice.com), with Bill Hazen calling his seventh season of Steelheads' action. Airtime will be 6:50PM CDT. Game time is 7:00PM CDT.
For information regarding the schedule change, fans are asked to call the Gary Steelheads' offices at (219) 883-3000. The cancellation does not impact the team's participation in the upcoming USBL Festival Playoffs, scheduled for Enid, Oklahoma in July.
