TRENTON, NJ (November 11, 2010) - The Trenton Steel announced today that it has signed former Notre Dame High School quarterback E.J. Nemeth to a contract. Nemeth, a Hamilton, NJ native, played collegiately at Sacred Heart University and led the Baltimore Mariners to the 2010 AIFA Championship after a perfect 16-0 regular season record. The Steel hope that a return home combined with Nemeth's winning mentality will bring the same success to Trenton.

Prior to his time in Baltimore, Nemeth played for the Alaska Wild and the San Angelo Stampede-Express of the Indoor Football League (IFL). In the offseason, Nemeth also served as head coach of the Trenton Catholic Academy football program from 2005-2006.

"I am extremely excited to announce the signing of E.J. Nemeth with the Trenton Steel. We are very fortunate to land a quarterback of E.J.'s caliber. His experience with indoor football and winning ways is a great jump start to our program", said Head Coach and Director of Football Operations, Jeff Hoffman.

Nemeth is equally as excited. "I can't wait to get on the field for the Steel. I get a chance to play in front of my friends and family, for an exciting new team. I could not have asked for a better situation." Richard Lisk, General Manager of the Steel, also added about Nemeth, "E.J. possesses the size, physical ability, and leadership qualities to lead this team in the direction we envision. His presence on the field combined with his legacy in New Jersey athletics makes this an exciting opportunity for both E.J. and the Steel."

The Trenton Steel will kick off their inaugural season in the SIFL in March 2011 and will play all of their home games at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ. Ticket packages for the team's premiere season are now available with season tickets available for as low as $60.00. Tickets are available by visiting the Steel on the web at www.trentonsteel.com or by calling the Steel offices at (609) 656-3300. Don't miss the chance to be part of RIVETING FOOTBALL!
