Trenton Steel News Release

The Trenton Steel Indoor Football Team announced the signing of former Maryland star running back Keon Lattimore.

Lattimore, at 5-foot-11, 223, is a younger brother of Baltimore Ravens superstar linebacker Ray Lewis, and a veteran of NFL camps with the Dallas Cowboys, during which he appeared on HBO's series Hard Knocks in 2008, the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he was a practice-squad player later that season, and the San Francisco 49ers as a practice-squad player in 2009.

At Maryland, Lattimore was described as a "big, powerful running back who has the ability to elude defenders and flash bursts of quickness ... a strong blocker.'' He was an All-ACC performer who joined Lance Ball to form one of the top tailback duos in the country over their final two seasons, and ended his career 14th on the Terps' career rushing yards list (1,744).

His 19 career rushing scores are tied for ninth on the Maryland career chart, and his collegiate career earned him an invitation to the 2008 Hula Bowl. Lattimore also attended Hargrave Military Academy and Mount Saint Joseph's High School in Maryland.

The Steel open their inaugural season in the Southern Indoor Football League March 19 at the Richmond Raiders, with their home-opener at 7:05 p.m. March 26 at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.

Season tickets, which start as low as $60, are available. Information can be obtained by calling the Steel offices at 609-656-3300 or on the team's Web site at www.trentonsteel.com. Single-game tickets are available by phone, at the Sun National Bank Center ticket windows, or on-line at www.comcasttix.com
