
Stealth Receive Five Stats Champion Awards

(San Jose, CA, April 17, 2007) --- The National Lacrosse League has announced the 2007 stat champions and the San Jose Stealth earned top rankings in individual Power Play Goals, Goals Against Average, Save Percentage, and team Penalty Kill and Fewest Goals Against.
Anthony Cosmo led all NLL Goaltenders with the lowest goals against average (10.22) and the highest save percentage (79.2) in 2007. The two-time NLL All Star stopped 524 of 662 shots faced and maintained an 8-5 record this season.
Gary Rosyski tallied a league high 18 power play goals for the Stealth this season; edging out Calgary's Lewis Ratcliff by a single goal. Rosyski had three power play goals in the 11-10 win over the Defending NLL Champions Colorado Mammoth on Friday and currently holds the Stealth franchise record for power play goals (35).
As a team, San Jose allowed the fewest goals in the NLL, and maintained the best Penalty Kill percentage. The Stealth allowed only 170 goals over the course of sixteen games this season. San Jose improved their penalty kill throughout the season, and finished with a season high 64.29% after holding the Colorado Mammoth to 5-15 with the man advantage on Friday and 2-9 the night before.
The Stealth will travel to Colorado for the Western Conference Semifinals this Saturday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m. PST. The fourth seeded Stealth (9-7) will take on the top seeded Mammoth (12-4) at the Pepsi Center in the single elimination 2007 Champions Cup Playoff game.
