
Stealth lose 9-10 to Rochester

The Stealth lose a "heartbreaker" 9-10 in Rochester on Feb.14. With the loss to the Knighthawks, the Stealth (4-3) now find themselves gaining no ground on Colorado and Calgary in the West.
Josh Sanderson and Mike Regan both tallied three goals and two assists on the night, followed closely by Gary Rosyski who posted two goals with three assists. Cam Woods also posted a goal for the Stealth.
San Jose trailed 5-0 early in the first quarter as goaltender Rob Blasdell was replaced by Brandon Miller in the net for the Stealth. The Stealth chipped away and cut the lead to 6-4 after the first quarter. San Jose cut the advantage to 7-6 at halftime as Rosyski, Sanderson and Regan each scored twice.
Regan tied the game at seven at 7:21 of the third quarter, but the Knighthawks took an 8-7 lead on Mat Giles' second of the night. The Knighthawks scored the next two goals as Ryan O'Connor and Scott Evans took Rochester to a 10-7 lead. Sanderson and Woods scored to bring the score to 10-9. The Knighthawks defense stuffed the final Stealth possession with 15.4 seconds to play.
The Knighthawks stood behind All-Star goaltender, Pat O'Toole as he made 45 saves on the night to earn a victory.
The Stealth (4-3) next game is Friday, February 20 at 7:30 as they face off against Calgary in the fight for the Western Division at the Penngrowth Saddledome in Calgary.
