Stealth announce 2006 regular season schedule

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Stealth 2006 National Lacrosse League regular season schedule was released today, which includes eight dates at HP Pavilion at San Jose. Ryan Boyle, Jim Moss and the rest of the Stealth will play their first regular season game on Jan. 6 against Andrew Turner and the expansion Edmonton Rush at Rexall Place. The Stealth will play host to the Colorado Mammoth on Jan. 14 for their home opener at HP Pavilion.

The home schedule features all weekend contests (three on Friday, five on Saturday), each with a 7:30 p.m. start time. The Stealth will play against members of the six-team Western Division (Colorado and Portland three times and Arizona, Calgary and Edmonton twice) in addition to playing four games against Eastern Division teams (Philadelphia, Rochester, Buffalo and Minnesota). The team will have one lengthy series of road games in their third season of play which extends from Feb. 11- 25 (two games and the All-Star break).

The road schedule also features all weekend games (three on Friday, four on Saturday and one on Sunday).

The NLL's regular season schedule consists of 88 games, to be played over 16 weekends. Each of the league's 11 teams will play 16 regular season games, eight home and eight away. The regular season begins on Dec. 30 and concludes on April 15, with the Champion's Cup Playoffs to follow.
