Huntsville Stars News Release
The Huntsville Stars are looking for volunteers to help bring pride back to Joe Davis Stadium. In return, volunteers will be rewarded with various ticket packages. On March 22 the Stars will be holding a community cleanup event in which they will invite Tennessee Valley community members to help give the stadium a facelift.
Stars General Manager Buck Rogers, who took over the Stars' office earlier this week, is looking to improve the general appearance of the stadium. Rogers and other members of the Stars' front office staff will be on hand to lead the general housekeeping tasks needed at the stadium.
"The fans are as much a part of this organization as the team and the office staff. This cleanup event will offer fans the opportunity to become more involved in the team, the organization, and their stadium," Rogers explained. "Plus, they will be rewarded with some great ticket packages."
Volunteers will be assisting in general cleanup activities such as light painting, sweeping, and trash removal. In return, volunteers will be rewarded ticket packages ranging from single game tickets to season tickets. Ticket packages will depend on the amount of time volunteered.
The Stars invite all fans interested to come out and help make Joe Davis Stadium their own. Clean up will begin at 9am and will continue throughout the evening. Food and drink will be served to all volunteers in attendance.
The Stars' season will begin on April 3when they will host the Mississippi Braves. For more information call the Stars' offices at (256)882-2562 or visit www.huntsvillestars.com.
