BLAINE, Mn. - The Springfield Jr. Blues made the most of their offensive opportunities on Friday, generating 23 shots but scoring an 8-5 win over the Traverse City North Stars in third-day action at the NAHL Showcase in suburban Minneapolis.
The Blues enjoyed leads of 2-0, 4-1, and 8-4 along the way, securing the club's first win of the season (1-1-1). The North Stars dropped to 3-2-0.
